Electrochemistry

The branch of chemistry dealing with the interconversion of chemical energies and electrical energies during spontaneous redox reactions.

Electrolytes

These are the substances, which allow the electricity to pass through them in their molten state or aqueous solution are called
electrolytes. e.g. common salt (`NaCl`), sulphuric acid (`H_2SO_4`) etc.

Non-Electrolytes

These are the substances which do not allow the electricity to pass through them in their molten state or aqueous solution are called non-electrolytes. e.g. sugar, wax, naphthalene etc.
