AP EAMCET (Engineering) Exam:

Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada on behalf of APSCHE. AP EAMCET examination is the prerequisite for admission into various professional courses offered in University/ Private Colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Till 2014, EAMCET was a common and combined exam for both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states, and it is only from 2015 that Andhra Pradesh conducts its separate exam - AP EAMCET, whereas Telanagana conducts TS EAMCET separately for its respective states.

AP EAMCET (Engineering) Exam 2016 Eligibility:

Age:

In case of Engineering, candidates should have completed 16 years of age as on 31st December, of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit.

Nationality:

Candidates should be Indian or Persons of Indian origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card holders.

Candidates should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana. They should satisfy Local/Non-Local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh/Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order.

Educational Qualifications:

Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optionals or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana.

Candidate should have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category candidates) in the subjects specified taken together in the qualifying examination.

Candidates should have passed or appeared at the final year of the Diploma examination in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana.

AP EAMCET (Engineering) Exam Schedule:

This year the exam was conducted on 29th April, 2016.

For aspirants who missed the chance this year can prepare for the next year's exam. Details regarding the tentative schedule of the exam are given in the table on the right. We will update the new dates once the official dates are announced.

How to Register/Apply for AP EAMCET Exam?

You need to follow the given steps:

- Visit the official site, www.apeamcet.org.
- Under the "Application" column click on "Apply Online".
- Select the appropriate Registration Fee payment mode.
- Candidates are required to scan and upload signature and photograph as specified in the booklet.
- Candidates are required to keep the payment details ready along with the details mentioned in the image on the right.

AP EAMCET (Engineering) Exam Syllabus:

The paper consisted of three sections:

Physics - 40 questions
Chemistry - 40 questions
Mathematics - 80 questions

The total number of questions was 160 and questions were objective in nature carrying 1 mark each. No Negative marking for incorrect answers.

AP EAMCET (Engineering) Exam Physics Syllabus:

Physics paper is usually quite scoring and the candidates are advised not to skip any topic.

Some important topics in Physics are Current Electricity, Electrostatics and Heat & Thermodynamics.

AP EAMCET (Engineering) Exam Chemistry Syllabus:

Questions from Chemistry are usually very tricky. Pay extra attention to the Periodic Table and Physical Chemistry to score well.

Some important topics in Chemistry are Chemical Kinetics, Chemical Bonding, and Transition Elements.

AP EAMCET (Engineering) Exam Mathematics Syllabus:

Regular practice is very important to score well in Mathematics. Candidates can score decently well in Mathematics with practice.

Some important topics in Mathematics are Integration, Vectors, Probability and Coordinate Geometry.

AP EAMCET (Engineering) Exam 2016 Pattern:

The exam was for 3 hours and the question paper consisted of 160 objective questions comprising of 80 questions in Mathematics, 40 questions in Physics and 40 questions in Chemistry.

Candidates were required to answer all questions. All questions carried 1 mark each. One mark for each correct answer and no negative marking.

Applicants were required to use Blue/Black Ball point pen to darken the appropriate circle in the OMR Answer Sheet of AP EAMCET 2016 Exam.

The question paper was available in two languages - English and Telugu.

AP EAMCET (Engineering) Exam 2016 Cutoff:

Candidates get admission in their preferred courses and colleges on the basis of the cut-off and merit list.
