Isobars

Atoms having the same mass number but different atomic numbers are known as isobars. Isobars are different elements, i.e., they have different chemical and physical properties. The examples are :

(i) `text( )_30Zn^(92) ` and `text( )_42 Mo^(92)`

(ii) `text( )_83Bi^(214)` and `text( )_82Po^(214)`

(iii) `text( )_90Th^(234) , text( )_91Pa^(234)` and `text( )_92U^(234)`

(iv) `text( )_24Cr^(54)` and `text( )_26Fe^(54)`
