Physics UNIT VECTOR

Unit Vector

A vector having magnitude equal to unity with no units. It is represented by `hata`.

To find the unit vector in the direction of `veca` we divide the given vector by its magnitude -

`=>` `hata=(veca)/|(veca)|`

or `veca=|a|hata` or `veca=ahata`

where `|veca|` or a is the magnitude of the vector a . Unit vector is basically used to indicate the direction.

`=>` `hati` is a unit vector towards positive x- axis.
`=>` `hatj` is a unit vector towards positive y- axis.
`=>` `hatz` is a unit vector towards positive z- axis.
